I believe in You!

Good luck to all KGES, LSES, students, SLT's and guardians for February intakes

I waited till later to post this because I wanted to do a long post on purpose.

This is your month! It is your month for another milestone to become possible. A month in which some MAY cry wee or poo vomit and also throw a tantrum ..... BUT it is also a month in which many would smile laugh play run be themselves be independent make friends and above all LOVE .

Your place as an adult is to simply care , understand and listen . The first day is a memorable one if you make it worth it . Leave the negative at the door and engage in all the beauty of the first day. You are there every step of the way and every moment while the children are getting their first taste of independence, so make it worth it .

Students... Yes you may yet feel very young to understand how amazing you truly are. School is wonderful with you in it and there is so much you can teach us adults. Welcome aboard it is nice to have you.

Guardians... Hard as it may be, your treasures would be fine. You on the other hand would cry your heart out because they now leave your side. However remember they are always in your heart and you will never miss out on the important stuff because you are way too special for them.

SLT's... Hats off to all of you especially in these unpredictable moments. I'm sure you would be prepared more than ever to wipe every tear, hear every phone call and above all hold everyone's worries upon your shoulders.

KGES & LSES... You got this, don't over think it. Every step is a lesson and every child is a different teacher. Trust your instincts keeping in mind always the best interests of your students. They will love you for who you are and what you do. It is a starting point which you would cherish both for a lifetime and a new chapter is about to start.

As for everyone else, stay collaborated. Pandemic or not this is critical. Working as a team is essential and there should be no excuses. Motivate each other, listen to one another, stay informed, mentor and best of all empathy is key. Remember these are the youngest groups ever and patience is essential. Empower one another and send well wishes.

Look past the process and see the bigger picture by simply taking a step back to breathe whenever you feel the need. Count to ten if you need to calm down, or cry your eyes out if you feel the need.

Remember that if you ever feel at a loss, I am only a message away and like me there are plenty of others too xxx

You can all do this! Best luck
