So yesterday I attended the "Sharing of Practice" seminar organised by our Maltese Early Years Officers and it was truly an inspiring session indeed.
❤️ I have stated several times how I am ALL FOR SHARING OF LOCAL PRACTICE so to be able to attend, listen and understand how other Maltese educators are implementing the Emergent Curriculum was simply FANTASTIC.
All presenters were EXCEPTIONAL and I did not just have 1️⃣ favourite, because truthfully ALL were INSPIRATIONAL. I hope we get the chance for more opportunities in which other educators share such PRACTICES as I am all in to listen, learn and get inspired.
📝 My notes consisted of the matter:
🚧 Ms. Joanne's building concepts integrated closely with deep observations triggering more curiosity for endless learning opportunities without rigid restrictions, no time limits and on-going explorations.
🌲 Ms. Melivia's love for nature and hands on exploration was a sheer highlight of how much we can take back to our classrooms from simple outdoor experiences and bring our classrooms full of light with effective teamwork from all stakeholders.
🐑 Ms. Rodlean's qassatat was just a glimpse of how much young hands can be productive when a big heart is open for bigger opportunities no matter the age group or classroom sizes, especially when the community is on board with welcoming little humans with glee.
🦕 Ms. Chanel's dino-matic classroom experiences was proof to all, that no matter how many times we might do similar investigations, each educator and class comes up with the most innovative range of ideas that inspire anyone else who tags along.
👶🏻 Ms. Caroline's experience was a testimony of how fearless we must be in faces of investigations that may trigger the unexpected curiosity, while being ready and open-minded for uncomfortable questions while answering truthfully to all that may be asked.
🍪 Ms. Kim's hybrid between digital and hands-on concepts left us all in awe of how adaptive resources work wonders with this new generation of young humans, and how it is important not to ignore the new ways of teachings and balance them with traditional methods too.
🧚🏽♂️ Ms. Tiffany's classroom set-up mesmerising everytime. From little nooks to bigger spaces. No inch is missed for equal opportunities of learning that is infused with much love, care and impeccable attention to detail leaving us all curious to what may come next while secretly wishing to be part of the group in her care.
🍂 Ms. Lara's & Ms. Audrey's dynamic team collaborations were not short of inspiration, sharing with us how collaborations between colleagues can make bigger and better classroom wonders, as support is never short and encouragement between one another is inevitable.
Thank you all for your expertise, knowledge and courage in sharing your work. We need more local influences from our Maltese settings, to show our own realities and how each one of us is turning our challenges into BIGGER opportunities.
BRAVISSIMI 👏 👏👏👏👏
